Common Areas (Elements)

Common area refers to property that is commonly shared by all owners. Horizon Townhouses was build as a cooperative and planned-unit development. Common area is considered a realty that all tenants may use although the Board of Directors and the Home Owners Association retains control and responsibility over it. To use the common area for what is was built for, you may use freely. But when you want to use the common area for private uses such as parties, or some use that may not allow others to use the common area, you may need to get permission from the Board of Directors, at least two days prior. Contact the Property Manager if  you may need to use the common area, a deposit may be assessed for certain usage of the common area. 

Common Areas include:

  • Entrance gate
  • Parking lots (areas)
  • Center Courtyard (Park)
  • sidewalks
  • Grass areas (exterior of the building)
  • Roof area
  • Backside of each building (grass area)
  • And other areas may also apply. (Please ask your Property Manager if you are not sure.)
